The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL are proud to announce the signing of Forward, Michael Maxey and Goaltender, Chase Miller for the 2023-24 season!
Michael Maxey from Fairbanks Alaska is entering his first season of junior hockey and we are excited that Michael chose Louisiana as his home. Last season Michael played for the Alaska Allstars 18 AA. When watching the scrimmage with coach Francis, he had this to say, “Michael is young and talented. He has some learning to do but if he focuses on his development this season his game will really improve.”
Chase Miller, a native of Dallas, Texas is excited to be in Louisiana and closer to home this season. Last season Chase played for the Decatur Blaze and gained a lot of experience. “Chase is excited to be here competing every day for the crease and this season he wants to take that next step in his game. Can’t wait to see what he can do for us,” said head coach Chris Francis.
The Drillers open the season on the road with two back-to-back weekends against the Mid-City Stars and Texas RoadRunners. The team returns to Lafayette for their home opener on October 6th against the team that ended their last season, the Texas Brahmas!
General admission is $8 for adults, $5 for youth and kids under 5 years old are free. We hope to see everyone in attendance this season as we PACK THE PLANET for another successful Louisiana Drillers hockey season! Geaux Drillers.
