The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL are proud to announce the signing of Forward, Kody Genz and Defenseman, Austin Gray for the 2023-24 season!
Kody Genz, a native of North Pole, Alaska, is excited to be back with the Drillers this season and really focused on helping this team go farther in the playoffs. Kody played in 18 games, scoring 1 goal and 1 assist with 64 penalty minutes. “I’m happy to have Kody back this year with us and you can definitely see he cares about this team and wants everyone to have success. Looking forward to seeing what he can bring for us this season!” says coach Francis.
Austin Gray from Midland, Texas is another new face for the Drillers this season and we are excited to have him. Last season he split time between the Charlotte Rush and Columbia Infantry. Head coach Chris had this to say. “I first met Austin in Colorado and ever since then we have had amazing conversations about this upcoming season. I’m excited to work with him and help develop him throughout the season.”
The Drillers open the season on the road with two back-to-back weekends against the Mid-City Stars and Texas RoadRunners. The team returns to Lafayette for their home opener on October 6th against the team that ended their last season, the Texas Brahmas!
General admission is $8 for adults, $5 for youth and kids under 5 years old are free. We hope to see everyone in attendance this season as we PACK THE PLANET for another successful Louisiana Drillers hockey season! Geaux Drillers.
