The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL are proud to announce the signing of Forward, Joshua Shelton and Defenseman, Andrew Simons for the 2023-24 season!
Josh, from Dallas, Texas, is entering his first season of junior hockey. Last season he played in Dallas for the McKinney North Stars 18 AA posting 5 goals with 9 assists in 17 games. “Josh is a big kid with heavy shot. After a full year of junior hockey, I can see him becoming a great player and difference maker for this team. Excited he is here in Louisiana this season,” said coach Francis.
Andrew Simons is a native of Round Rock, Texas and played last season for the Seahawks Hockey Club and played his youth hockey in Austin, Texas. When asking about Andrew, head coach Chris had this to say. “I know Andrew well from training him in Austin. He is a great kid and teammate! I’m excited to have a full season with Andrew and really helping him develop more as a player this season.”
The Drillers open the season on the road with two back-to-back weekends against the Mid-City Stars and Texas RoadRunners. The team returns to Lafayette for their home opener on October 6th against the team that ended their last season, the Texas Brahmas!
General admission is $8 for adults, $5 for youth and kids under 5 years old are free. We hope to see everyone in attendance this season as we PACK THE PLANET for another successful Louisiana Drillers hockey season! Geaux Drillers.
