The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL are proud to announce the signing of Forward, Cheeno Gryska and Forward/Defenseman, Kolt Gutzman for the 2023-24 season!
Cheeno Gryska from Fairbanks, Alaska is coming into his last season of junior hockey and really looking to take a big jump in the point production for the Drillers. Cheeno played 42 games last season for the drillers posting 11 goals and 17 assists. “Cheeno has been awesome during training camp. He competes every day on and off the ice. I’m expecting a big year for Cheeno and counting on him to be a leader and help this team succeed.” Said coach Chris Francis.
Kolt Gutzman is also from Fairbanks, Alaska and looking to have a great first year with the Drillers. Last season he split his time between the Bozeman Ice Dogs and Team Alaska 18U AAA. When talking about Kolt, coach Francis had this to say. “Kolt is an amazing human being and has a lot of great energy. I’m looking forward to having Kolt here this season as he will constantly improve and help his teammates succeed.”
The Drillers open the season on the road with two back-to-back weekends against the Mid-City Stars and Texas RoadRunners. The team returns to Lafayette for their home opener on October 6th against the team that ended their last season, the Texas Brahmas!
