The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL are proud to announce the signing of defenseman, Charlie Benisch and forward, Jake Bergstrom for the 2023-24 season.
Charlie Benisch from Westminster, Colorado played last season for the Washington Little Caps 18AAA where he had great showings in the T1EHL throughout the season. “I first saw Charlie at the CCM showcase this summer in Colorado and I knew I had to have him on our team this season. He has a good feel for the game with undercover poise on the back end. Someone with a full year under his belt at this level that will really improve.” Coach Francis had to say about Charlie.
Jake Bergstrom from Annandale, Minnesota is entering his first year of junior hockey after having a successful season with Buffalo High USHS-MN compiling 9 goals and 12 assists in 26 games. Head coach Chris Francis had this to say. “Jake plays the game at such a fast pace and has a ton of offensive skill to provide the Drillers. I saw Jake at the Oklahoma City Warriors (NAHL) main camp, and he was outstanding. I’m excited to work with Jake and help him get to the next level!”
The Drillers open the season on the road with two back-to-back weekends against the Mid-City Stars and Texas RoadRunners. The team returns to Lafayette for their home opener on October 6th against the team that ended their last season, the Texas Brahmas!
General admission is $8 for adults, $5 for youth and kids under 5 years old are free. We hope to see everyone in attendance this season as we PACK THE PLANET for another successful Louisiana Drillers hockey season! Geaux Drillers!
