The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL are excited to announce the signing of Forwards Brody Abbey and Ayden Attungana for the 2023-24 season.
A native of La Grange, Texas, Brody Abbey played last season for the Texas Jr. Stars 16U A team where he had 2 goals, 3 assists in 20 games. Head Coach Francis had this to say. “I know Brody and his family well from spending time in Austin, Texas for a couple of years. I coached Brody when he was in 14U and you will not find a kid more determined to improve and work as hard as he possibly can for his team. I’m excited to have Brody on board to continue his development at the next level.”
Ayden Attungana is no stranger to Louisiana as he started last season with the Drillers posting 2 goals and 14 assists in 33 games with the Drillers before he was traded to the Butte Cobras and contributed 1 goal with 1 assist in 8 games. “I’m very excited to have Ayden back in Louisiana this season. When he was available to come back to Louisiana, I knew I had to get him back. He is a player that will bring so much energy on the ice for our group and really help this team have success” says head coach Francis.
The Drillers open the season on the road with two back-to-back weekends against the Mid-City Stars and Texas RoadRunners. The team returns to Lafayette for their home opener on October 6th against the team that ended their last season, the Texas Brahmas!
General admission is $8 for adults, $5 for youth and kids under 5 years old are free. We hope to see everyone in attendance this season as we PACK THE PLANET for another successful Louisiana Drillers hockey season! Geaux Drillers!
