Kevin Hamilton also had a big night with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists). Besides, the Louisiana Drillers' offense had a big night, peppering the Spirit with 59 shots throughout the game. The Louisiana Drillers took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Tucker Alspaugh and never looked back.

During the first, Morgan opened the scoring for the Drillers with a goal at 7:34 with helpers from teammates Zittel and Watzka. Alspaugh deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:47 with helpers from Zittel and Bloemer. Wroblewski netted a goal at 13:15 with assists from his linemates, Jorajuria and Morgan. Hamilton put in a goal at 17:37 with assists from his linemates, Hale and Credeur. Wroblewski quickly followed with a goal at 17:52 with a helper from defenseman Morgan.
During the second period, Wroblewski deposited a goal at 2:15 with assists from Dolese and Watzka. Harden scored a goal at 4:41 with a helper from defenseman Morgan. Morgan quickly followed with a goal at 6:05 with an assist from fellow Drillers forward Watzka. Smith netted a goal at 15:10 with a helper from Hamilton.
In the third, Murphy finally put the Spirit on the board with a goal at 8:00 with assists from Ely and Sawicki. Wotta answered for Louisiana with a goal at 14:12 with helpers from Hamilton and Dolese. Hamilton netted a goal at 17:00 with an assist from Credeur.
The Drillers’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Kazoleas as he stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced. Kazoleas’ counterpart, Parker, also had a big night, managing to stop 9 of 14, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Louisiana Drillers’ record to (5-7-0-0).
