The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL, would like to announce the signing of Thomas Howell for the 2002-23 season. Thomas Howell of Gilmer, Texas is a 5’10”, 175 pound, right-handed defensemen with 2 years of junior experience. Thomas who will be turning 18 this June has played 74 games at the junior level all for the Dells Ducks of the USPHL registering 3 goals and added 10 assists for 13 points. A teammate of recently signed goaltender William Carney, Thomas will be looking to build his career in Lafayette. Coach Weingartner was speaking with head coach Jason Campbell of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, NAHL and he had great things so say about Thomas’ work ethic and character, traits we are focusing on while building our team this year. Coach Campbell also mentioned the possibility of getting Thomas up to Shreveport for some practices during the season, this is something Bossier has been providing for Driller players over the last couple of years. It gives players at the NA3HL level and opportunity to skate with and experience the NAHL level during the season.
