In the second period, Redmon answered for Texas with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:55 with assists from Walsh and Murison. Sykes quickly followed with a goal at 2:18 with helpers from Bombardir and Walsh. Bombardir deposited a goal at 8:46 with assists from Bersani and Walsh.
In the third period, Sykes put in a goal at 10:17 with helpers from his linemates, Bersani and Cote. Watzka answered for the Drillers with a goal at 18:12 with assists from his linemates, Credeur and Wotta.
