In the second, Bloemer opened the scoring for Louisiana with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:36 with helpers from Dolese and Denning. Morgan put in a goal at 10:01 with an assist from defenseman Morgan. Watzka netted a goal at 17:39 with helpers from teammates Credeur and Morgan.
In the third, Vukasin deposited a goal at 13:38 with assists from Morgan and Wotta. Vukasin quickly followed with a goal at 15:23 with a helper from defenseman Smith. Denning scored a goal at 19:38 with an assist from Jorajuria.
The Drillers’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Clifford’s shutout, as he stopped all 24 of the shots he faced. On the other hand, Clifford’s counterpart, Vanwinkle, and Mid Cities’ defense had a miserable night allowing 3 goals in 19 shots.
This win brings the Louisiana Drillers’ record to (13-25-1-0).
