The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL, would like to announce the re-signing of John Moriarty for the 2022-23 season. John Moriarty is a 6’1”, left-handed catch goaltender from Andover Massachusetts, and he will be entering his final season of junior hockey. John came to the Drillers late in the season playing in just two games, he managed 3.05 goals against average and a .906 save percentage. “I felt it worked out well for us bringing in John late in the season, he was able to see what we had to offer, and we got a sample of his skill set. I thought he played great in both games but really stood out in a big win over the Roadrunners. We let him know at the end of the season talks that we would give him every opportunity to have a great final year of juniors,” commented coach Weingartner. Prior to joining the Drillers, Moriarty started the year off in Fresno where he played 5 games and had a record of 2-1-1. The two years prior to that John was battling for playing time for the NCDC Northern Cyclones, he also played for the U18 Cyclones as well as the South Shore Kings.
If you are still looking for a place to play, coach Weingartner will be at the following camps. Please reach out to him at rob@ladrillers.com or 316-841-9274
