The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL, would like to announce the signing of Ayden Attungana for the 2022-23 season.
Originally from Anchorage Alaska, Ayden is a 2003 birth year that played U18AAA for the Connecticut Chiefs last season. The 5’8, 160 pound, left-handed forward, scored 6 goals and added 9 assists for 15 points in 49 games. Prior to joining the Chiefs, Ayden spent 2 seasons playing for the 95 Giants U16 and U18 AAA programs. Unfortunately, due to pandemic, the 2020-21 was cut short for Ayden, during the 2019-20 season, Attungana played 21 games at the U16AAA level scoring 6 points on 3 goals and 3 assists in 21 games, he also suited up for 4 games at the U18AAA level scoring 3 goals and 1 assist for 4 points in 4 games. “I attended the CCM Showcase, this was my 11th year attending the showcase, Mike Gempler does an excellent job every year putting lots of talented young players in front of coaches from all levels. I was able to scout Ayden at the showcase and thought he did a great job, checking all the boxes for what I was looking for, number one was his compete level, second was he is a strong, shifty skating ability and finally he was a left-handed shot. Following the showcase, I had a good conversation with Ayden and his mom Violet, I was excited he decided to join the team,” stated coach Weingartner.
