The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL are pleased to announce the signing of goaltender William Carney. William played his first season of junior hockey last season suiting up in 11 games for the Dells Ducks. Facing over 40 shots against each game, William had an uphill battle all season. Prior to Junior hockey, William had a solid 18U season for the Texas Tigers, appearing in 6 games at the NAPHL, winning 6 games while dropping just 1 with 1.33 goals against average and a .953 save percentage. He also appeared in 19 games at the 18U AA level and had 7 wins and 1 loss while posting 2.14 goals against average and a .897 save percentage. “I was able to scout William at the St Louis NAHL combine, I thought he looked solid, so we moved forward with conversation that eventually led to William signing. When talking with William he sounded extremely excited about joining his hometown team, it is that type of excitement that we are looking for when recruiting for our team.” Coach Weingartner.
