The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL, would like to announce the signing of Logan Gill for the 2022-23 season.
In his last season of junior hockey, Logan is a left-handed forward listed at 6’, 190lbs from Wichita, Kansas, that played for the Vernal Oilers in the CAJHL last season. In just 11 games Logan scored 1 goal and added 2 assists while amassing 48 minutes in penalties. Prior to that, Logan played for two seasons for the Wichita Jr Thunder scoring just 1 assist in 56 games but racked up 132 minutes in penalties during that span. “I’ve known Logan a long time, he is a blue-collar worker that is clearly not afraid of the rough stuff. He is good friends with already signed players Rory Neish and Colton Sebastian, so having friends that want to play for each other is good for the team. I had a good talk with Logan prior to him signing as we are looking for him to bring the physicality, but to stay away from the extra that gets him into penalty trouble, I am looking for him to model his game after Patrick Maroon, an NHL champion that can mix the rough play with the scoring,” commented coach Weingartner.
Come on out and support the Louisiana Drillers for the 2022-23 season, the Driller season opens up September 30th, October 1st, 2nd, 3rd versus the Atlanta Capitals, games will all be played at 4pm at Planet Ice. Tickets are $5 for general admission for 5 and over, under 5 are free. Games can also be seen on Hockey TV all year long (Subscription Required).
