The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL, would like to announce the signing of Brody Neish for the 2022-23 season.
Brody will be teaming up with older brother Rory for the second year in a row, having played last season for the Florida Jr Blades in the USPHL Elite division. Brody had a strong rookie year of junior hockey, scoring 20 goals and he added 19 assists for 39 points in 39 games. The season before, he played for the Bloomington Thunder U16 in the NJPHL, scoring 6 goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 16 games. Coach Weingartner said, “Brody was a player I thought of immediately when I took over coaching for the Drillers, at 6’4” and just a ’05 birth year, Brody will have the opportunity to fill out his frame as well as improve his play. He averaged a point a game last year and expect him to surpass those numbers this year. While at the Shreveport Mudbugs NAHL main camp, I was able to see Brody compete against a handful of returning players as well as a new crop of mostly 19- and 20-year-olds. I thought he did a great job and feel he is on the right path to get that level”. When talking with Mudbugs head coach Jason “Soupy” Campbell, he stated “I really liked how he competed and was impressed with his ability to shoot the puck but like most ’05 he will need to be stronger on pucks and continue to improve his pace of play”. The Louisiana Drillers 2022, 1st round draft pick Dagan Rose was also in attendance at Shreveport’s main camp and competed well.
