Stephanie Aldret, DO is a fellowship-trained and board-certified specialist in non-surgical orthopedic sports medicine. She is highly skilled in non-operative treatment options for many musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
Dr. Aldret completed her fellowship in Sports Medicine at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine/Virginia Tech. She completed her residency training at Oklahoma State University Family Medicine in Tulsa, and her medical degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. Prior to receiving her medical degree, Dr. Aldret obtained two undergraduate degrees. One from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond for forensic science, and the other in health and sports science from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
Dr. Aldret has been the team physician and covering physician for several high school, college, and professional sports teams. She also served as a Medical Director, collaborating physician, and clinical physician in both Louisiana and Oklahoma. Dr. Aldret is highly involved in the community, where she continues to provide medical coverage, participate in medical outreach programs, clinics, and also as a first aid volunteer. She holds gratis or adjunct faculty positions at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She currently serves as team physician for the University of Louisiana and a member of the medical pool for USA Wrestling and USA Gymnastics-Trampoline and Tumbling.
Dr. Aldret is currently a member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), America Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (AOASM), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM), The Cranial Academy, the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), and the President of the Louisiana Osteopathic Medical Association (LOMA).
