Doug currently resides in Grand Blanc, Michigan with his beautiful wife of 21 years Tami. Doug has 3 grown kids, Joshua, Joyce and Jacee and 5 grand kids Joey, Karter, Bailey and twins Addington and Emerson.  Doug’s tenure in hockey has been a mix of 30 years in numerous rolls such as Head Off Ice Official for various pro franchises like the 1984 Turner Cup winning Flint Generals, the Flint Bulldogs of the Colonial Hockey League, the Flint Spirits the 2 time UHL Champion Flint Generals and AHL and NHL games as well.  Doug has also worked with some of the greatest hockey minds such as Don Waddell, current GM of the Carolina Hurricanes, Rick Dudley, Assistant GM of the Carolina Hurricanes and Dennis Desrosiers, 1984 Turner Cup Head Coach just to name a few.  Furthermore, Doug has 30 plus years coaching various travel hockey teams in Michigan.  His scouting experience started in 1992 with the Legendary Gale Cronk with the Flint Jr. Generals of the then Central States Hockey League, transitioning to the original North American Tier III (NA3HL) as the Assistant GM/Director of Scouting.   Along with the Generals he has worked for great franchises in Corpus Christi, Soo Eagles and the New Jersey Titans of the NAHL and for the last 5 years Doug has been the Assistant GM/Director of Scouting for the Lansing Wolves.  With a great deal of enthusiasm Doug has accepted the challenge and privilege of working with the Louisiana Drillers and his goal is to assist the placement of players in College Hockey and the NAHL.  Doug’s mantra moving forward will be “work to succeed and nothing less” and the ultimate goal is to compete for division and league honors on an annual basis.  “Glad to be with such a high class organization, so let’s roll”, Doug Bailey.
