Cody Compton returns to Louisiana!

The Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL, would like to announce the re-signing of Cody Compton for the 2022-23 season.

Cody Compton is another returning player, originally from Berwyn Heights, Maryland, he was born August 8, 2002, and will be in his last season of junior hockey. At 6’1 and a 165 lbs, Cody will be in his second season with the Louisiana Drillers having played in all 47 games last season, scoring 2 goals, and had 4 assists for 6 points, he also had only 8 penalty minutes which ranked him second lowest on the team. “When I got to the team, Cody was playing a lot on defense, he has decent size and reach and plays his angles well. When Tyler Walker came back from injury and we signed Mikey Harrell we shifted Cody up to forward and we felt he did a good job, coach McNeil liked him at forward as well. So, coming into this season, it’s good to have a player with the ability to play multiple positions,” commented coach Weingartner. Prior to last season, Cody played high school hockey in Maryland for Eleanor Roosevelt High, scoring 3 goals in 10 games and for the Bowie Bruins 14U program scoring 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points in 16 games at the EJEPL level.
